Care & Use

1. We recommend for all of our products that are intended to come into contact with foodstuffs to remove any labels or packaging and to wash, rinse and dry before first use.

2. It’s important to know how long the event is expected to last

3. Butane lighters or long-handle matches should be used to light chafing fuels (NOT matches or small lighters). You shouldn’t use one chafing fuel to light another. 

4. Chafing fuels should never be lifted or moved once lit.

5. Wick chafing fuels are fine to blow out, and it’s important to never touch the wick afterwards.

How to use Chafing Fuel

Open the can, keeping it away from any open flame

Carefully place it in the receptacle

Light the chafing fuel using a long reach match or butane lighter

Cover the water pan until it begins to steam (approximately 20 minutes)

Once steaming, place the food pan with hot, fully cooked foods into position and cover

After your event, extinguish the chafing fuel with the correct tool and dispose of the can properly, or replace the lid and store it for reuse
